The Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation collection is constituted by a significant number of works by distinguished Greek artists: Andreou, Bouzianis, Caras, Christoforou, Fassianos, Gaitis, Gounaropoulos, Hatzikyriakos - Ghikas, Kouledianos, Kounellis, Makris, Moralis, Nikolaidis, Pappas, Parmakelis, Parthenis, Psychopedis, Sklavos, Takis, Tetsis, Tsarouchis, Tsoclis, Vari, Vassiliou, Zongolopoulos as well as by many other artists of younger generations.
In addition, it includes important works of international artists, like Nicholson, Fautrier, Lichtenstein, Balthus, Botero, Kiefer, Hundertwasser, Warhol, Rodin, Giacometti, Cesar, Mitoraj, Richier, Hepworth, etc.

The collection, which is focused on 20th -century art, is continuing to be enriched with new acquisitions. During most of the year, part of the Foundation's permanent collection is housed in the New Wing of the Museum of Contemporary art on Andros. Throughout the year the Museum's Old Wing houses the permanent exhibition of works by Michael Tombros, a significant sculptor from Andros, as well as works by some of the most significant representatives of contemporary Greek sculpture.
